History

During the period between 2014 and 2019, we had the enormous satisfaction of having granted a total of $ 815,953 in donations to organizations distributed as follows: $ 70,533 for Sports Development, $ 206,584 for Community Aid, $ 205,103 for the line of action called Happy Childhood, $ 115,327 to Animal Rescue and $ 217,536 to Scientific Studies and Research.

Throughout 2013 and 2014 we were able to measure a positive impact in several areas. In terms of Community Aid, we worked hard to serve a shelter located in Orlando, Florida, we provided resources for operations within the framework of Operation Smile activities, and in Panama we successfully collaborated with the Hospital del Niño by delivering supplies to the children’s hospital.

Regarding our desire to ensure a happy childhood, we successfully collaborate with the Give Kids the World Foundation, the Make a Wish Foundation, Camp Boggy Creek, Camp I Am Special, HOPE Worldwide – La Chorrera and the Numen Foundation.

Finally, we can proudly say that we support the Sea Turtle Conservancy, Pet Alliance, formerly ASPCA Central Florida, Cesar Millan Foundation, Bergin University of Canine Studies, and Southeastern Guide Dogs, as part of our commitment to the preservation of animals.

During these years we have supported both Adventist and Catholic movements, because as the philanthropic arm of IC Corporation, we do not distinguish creed or religion when it comes to helping. In this sense, we supported the Hollywood Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Chruch for the staging of the play «Passion» and the Forest City Adventist School with the provision of school supplies. In Venezuela, we partnered with the Fundación Comunidad Madre Emilia and the Centro de Capacitación Laboral Don Bosco (belonging to the Salesian Congregation), making it possible to remodel their facilities.

Throughout those 5 years, many institutions benefited from our efforts. In the sports area, we sponsor the Orlando City Foundation, Iditarod Trail – the Last Great Race and Fundación Madre Emilia.

In parallel, in the United States we contributed to Hope Community Center while in China we had the privilege of supporting Operation Blessing in the construction of cisterns and drinking troughs to help villagers living in drought areas, saving them the task of fetching water for an hour or two on the road.

During the months of July and August 2016, we visited schools to identify their needs and thus support their projects through donations. In December, we went to Pacora, a village in the district of Panama, where we were able to give gifts to 49 children during a significant event.

For its part, at the community level, we strengthened alliances with Operation Smile, Doctors without borders, Operation Blessing China – Cisterns, Feed the Children, Catholic Relief Services and UNICEF – Children’s Rights in Conflicts and Humanitarian Relief, American Red Cross, Hope CommUnity Center, Lighthouse Central, Florida, HOPE Worldwide – Escuela Altos de Espave, Luz Casanova Foundation, Irene Mejias Meningitis Foundation and School Libraries in China.
